Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

You can read our full cancellation policy here.

Can I sign up for classes without attending the event?

Yes! Just purchase a Class Pass when you register. It lets you sign up for any of our classes (each class has its own fee) and includes a swag bag, dessert socials, prizes, and more.

How can I see what classes I signed up for?

Log in to your account at www.shurkus.com/my-account anytime to see everything you’ve registered for.

Will you have t-shirts, hoodies, and other crafty gear for sale at the event?

We’ll hold a pre-sale of sweatshirts, t-shirts, and more in a variety of fun designs and colors. The pre-sale is open only to registered 2027 attendees. We’ll have very little extra stock at the event, so we strongly recommend pre-ordering to make sure you get the style and size you want.

Can I visit the vendors during the event, even if I am not an attendee?

Yes, please do! Be sure to stop by the registration desk to say hello. Most vendors are open:

  • Thursday: 6–10 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m.–10 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

See the full list of vendors here. The crafting room/ballroom and classrooms are for registered attendees only.

Can I bring my family members or friends to Crafting on the Cape?

We know many of you travel to the event with family. Due to space limits and Sea Crest Beach Resort rules, the crafting room and classrooms are reserved for registered attendees. Your spouse, partner, kids, relatives, or friends are welcome to stop by the main crafting room/ballroom for a short visit, but they can’t stay for extended periods.

How much table space will I have?

Each person gets their own 6-foot table, and tables are arranged in clusters of four. When you submit your seating requests, tell us the three other people you’d like at your table.

Do I get to choose who I sit with?

Yes! When you register, list the names of the people you’d like to sit with. If your group is larger than four, list everyone. You’ll be seated at separate tables, but we’ll do our best to keep you near each other.

Please make sure everyone in your group lists the same people, using the same first and last names that appear on their registrations. The easiest way to keep things consistent is to have one person register the whole group.

As you can imagine, the seating chart is the trickiest part of planning this event. Our priority is seating you with your friends. We’ll do our best to honor more specific requests, but we can’t guarantee them.

Do people attend alone?

Absolutely. Lots of people come solo every year, and most leave with new crafty friends by the end of the weekend.

What payment options are available when registering?

You can pay by credit card or PayPal. Full payment is due when you register.

Can I register for myself and a friend?

Yes, and we recommend it! When attending with friends, it’s best to have one person register the whole group. You’ll need each person’s first name, last name, and email address.

If anyone you registered wants to sign up for classes or pre-order gear, have them create an account here and then email us. We’ll add the Crafting on the Cape membership to their account so they can access those offers.

Can I sit in on a class with a friend who is registered?

No. Classes are open only to those who registered for that specific class.

What hours are the crafting room/ballroom open?

The crafting room/ballroom is open 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Per Sea Crest Beach Resort rules, it isn’t open 24 hours. For registration desk and vendor hours, see the weekend schedule.

How do I get to the event?

Crafting on the Cape is held at the Sea Crest Beach Resort, 350 Quaker Road, North Falmouth, MA 02556.

The two closest major airports are:

  • Boston Logan (BOS): About 70 miles away. Flights are usually more frequent and less expensive, but traffic heading to the Cape can be heavy depending on the time of day.
  • T.F. Green (PVD) in Rhode Island: About 80 miles away. Flights tend to be less frequent and pricier, but traffic toward the Cape is usually light.

Both airports offer rental cars. From Logan, you can also take the Plymouth & Brockton or Peter Pan bus to North Falmouth, then a taxi or Uber to the resort.

Is there wifi in the crafting room/ballroom?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available for attendees.

Is there electricity at each table in the crafting room/ballroom?

Yes, every table has access to power. We recommend bringing an extension cord.

Will someone be taking photos and/or videos at Crafting on the Cape?

Yes! We love capturing the weekend to share with others. By registering, you give Crafting on the Cape/Creative Chick Co. permission to photograph and record you during the event. You also agree that these photos and videos may be used in any form in future publications or promotional materials for Crafting on the Cape, without payment, royalties, credit, or other compensation.

Is food/drink allowed in the crafting room/ballroom?

A few snacks and drinks at your space are fine. Crockpots, food tables, and large coolers are not allowed.

What are the options for meals?

The resort has a delicious on-site restaurant, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants, many of which deliver. Grubhub and DoorDash are also options.
